The perfect highlighter

I finally found it: the perfect highlighter! I never thought that I will get it one day. But now here it is! Honestly I have seen NARS products before as I strolled through some Instagram feeds and also watched a few Youtube videos. But I never paid any special attention. Till now! I got a message from Net-A-Porter that they are selling NARS products now.

So I simply got curious and jumped over to their website to explore their beauty products. I watched a lot of Youtube reviews and some Insta pics and finally come to the conclusion to buy some NARS produts just to try them. It seems that theis highlighters are magic and perfect for “strobing” effects.

And the result? Faaantastic! I never thought that a highlighter could suprise me like this. As I tested the products, esepcially the Copacabana one, I felt head over heels in love! It was so difficult for me to find the right highlighter. Most of them did not stay long (just for one hour) or were just too shiny and glittering. So it is really different with these highlighters. If they are used correctly for sure!

So here is my little review:

# 1 Illuminator Copacabana

For me it is the best product of all! The shade is perfect for light skin like mine. It is lightly shimmering pearly and silvery and just looks fantastic on my skin! First I usually start with my foundation and concealer. Afterwards I contoure my face with bronzer or blush. At the end I just take a small drop of the highlighter and rub it upon my cheekbones and a little bit right under my eyebrow. It is richly so a small drops is absolutely sufficient. But I you want to create a better or bigger effect just take another drop.

# 2 Illuminator Pen Copacabana

It is similar with the Copacabana liquid highlighter. It is perfect for all who do not like liquid ones. It is easy to handle and you can just throw it into your handbag. A great tool for busy days and on the road. I have used the pen to create a more radiant extra glow. I just put something on my finger tips and rubbed it upon my powdered cheekbones, under my eyebrows and on my eyelid. An awesome product to conjure a quick glow and freshness into your face!

# 3 Illuminator Orgasm

Well…yes.  Actually the name says everything. This telling highlighter is a perfect allrounder and conjures a pretty peach glow onto your cheekbones. But I think this products is made for warmer skintones. I will use it when I am at least a little bit tanned in summer. At the moment it is too orange for me. But don’t mind: it is certainly a great thing for darker skin types.

# 4 Audacious Lipstick Vera

You might know that I am a little lipstickjunkie. The colour is just stunning! I am really critical when it comes to lipsticks but thin one has convined me directly. Not only because of the colour but it last very long without puting on some new layer again and again. This is obviously an absolute k.o. criterion! The deep, raspberry red colour is phenomenal and perfect for light skin types like me!

Conclusion: All in all I can say that  NARS products convinced me and I have found the perfect highlighter! I can strongly recommend these products. I know that they are a bit expensive but trust me: they are worth every cent.
