Aestheso Münster – a place where magic happens

some weeks ago I decided to visit the Aestheso Clinic in Münster. Aestheso offers a lot of Medical Beauty treatments at the highest level. I have heard a lot of good things before and I was so excited! Dr. med. Nadine Peukert and her colleagues are experts when it comes to wrinkle and laser treatements as well as any kind of medical cosmetic treaments. They are also experts in the brandnew CoolSculpting thing.

As I recently got one year older, I told you before, it was some kind of a milestone personally for me and for this reason this was a birthday present from me to me.

But before there will be a big outcry about cosmetic surgeries I would like to clarify one thing right at the beginning: these are my personal experiences and every woman has the right to decide what is beautiful or not and if she is satisfied with herself and her body or not. Everyone has the right to have an own opinion no matter what. And everyone has to decide for themselves if the like to change anything. I know that this is a very sensitive issue and they are even some people against any kind of these treatments.

But I also know that there are a lot of women out there, women at my age, women at the age 30+ who are really interested. Unfortunately it is still a big taboo here in Germany. But I would like to share my experience with women like me. Women who like to look a little bit fresher, not younger at all, just fresher. For this reason there a a lot of cosmetic treatments like Facials, Microdermabrasions, Microneedlings etc. etc. and there are also Hyaluron fillers. This is what I tried.

It is actually really crazy because I was scared of needles ever since I was little. No wonder that I could not sleep 2 days before the treatment. I was even shaking when I entered the medical practice. But I did not had to at all. Dr. med. Nadine Peukert took away my fears immediately. But I will tell you more later.

Let’s start with the CoolSculpting treatments. Yes, I do also have some trouble zones and I have tried a lot. I even do a lot of sports but it will never disappear. So the new method from the USA was exactly what I was looking for!

What is CoolSculpting?

No surgery and no downtime – The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise. The results are proven.

How does it work?

The CoolSculpting procedure safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells are crystalized (frozen), then die. Over time, the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you. The results are permanent and the fat cells do not grow again there.

Does it hurt and how does the treatment exactly look like?

As per producer there are no remark pains during the treatment. Only a little pulling or pinching could be felt. Furthermore there will be a intensive cold feeling which should disappear after 10 minutes. Afterwards the area will get numb. These are the facts. But is it really true? It actually is. Of course I got informed before the treatment and I knew what to expect. So honestly I was not scared at all. Quite the opposite to the following Hyaluron treatment.

One area I wanted to treat was the stomache, the lower parts. Dr. med. Nadine Peukert took a lot of time to explain everything. Before the treatments starts the area is marked with a pen and only if you agree of course they also make some before pictures in different poses.

Next I had to lie down on a chaise. Afterwards the skin is going to be protected with a special gel sheet. No we were ready to start! With a special applicator and a special vacuum function the skin is going to be pulled into the applicator. It is a very strange feeling indeed and it is pinching. It acutally feels like someone is pinching strongly into your stomache fat. Well yes, this is the best description. After 5 minutes the feeling will disappear and there will be a big cold instead. But also this will disappear after 5-10 more minutes and then the area is beginning to feel numb.

After this I needed to lay or sit down for one hour. But this was not a problem at all. You can read a magazine, check your mails, watch TV or even fall asleep. When the one hour is finished and the applicator is getting off the treated area will be massaged a bit. When the applicator got off I was a little bit scared because of the view. The skin looks so bulgingly and red after the one hour but this is just normal. It will disappear soon.

So it was time for the other side. You need to calculate 1 hour for each side for the stomache.

Is there any downtime and what happens afterwards?

The perfect thing about CoolSculpting is that you could easily go for it during the lunch break. There is no downtime at all. The medicals only recommend to avoid too much sports, sun or sauna for 1 week after the treatment. That is all.

The first three days after the treatment my stomache was aching a bit. You can compare it with some kind of strongly aching muscles after sports. Too tight pants are not recommended, this is my personal advise. But after the three days the pain will go away and with this there will be a lightly numb feeling. This feeling will last for at least 4 weeks. It is a little bit strange but you will also get used to it very quickly and it is not bad at all.

But the best thing is: you might see the first results after 3 weeks. Like in my case. The most dramtic results will be shown 2 months afterwards so I am very very excited! And it is so perfect because the dead fat cells will never ever grow again! Yess!

Conclusion: if you are not satisfied with a specific body area and you even tried a lot before I would always recommend CoolSculpting! The pain is absolutely bearable, trust me! If it was not I would never ever think about doing it again. So the treatment is just perfect for me and my needs. The results speak for themselves. Not for nothing this treatment is the treatment everybody is talking about!

Now I want to talk about my second treatment. As mentioned before I know that there will be the best experts when it comes to wrinkle and especially Hyaluron acid treatments. Dr. med. Nadine Peukert is one of the most competent doctors and therefore I was so thankful to have her by my side to feel safe and advised. Unfortunately every beautician can buy hyaluron fillers even if she only took an evening crash course. The substance is free on quay. This is one of the reasons why there are a lot of bad results.

The Hyaluron Treatment

Anyway like often in life it depends on the quality and the competence of the doctor or beautician. Dr. med. Nadine Peukert is a very welcoming and gracious woman with a lot of positive power and vibrations. This is something fascinating and she also take away your fear when entering the pratice. This is so so precious! And it was one of the most important things to me. Of course I also know these terrible pictures of failed treatments. Paired with my fear of needles I was so so nervous at the beginning. But not for long at all. Dr. med. Nadine Peukert is usually treating 20 patients with hyaluron per day. This is a fact which speaks for itself. But not only. She also has got more than 13 years of experiences in the aesthetic medinice and laser treatments. She is also leading the practice and she was working as a leader for the laser and aestetic medicine department of the university hopsital in Münster before.

How was the treatment like?

Before we started we took a lot of time to discuss which areas should be treated. Also you will be cleared up about all risks and side effects. Beyond that you will also need to fill in a full personal medical history. Dr. med. Peukert decided to go for 3 different hyaluron products in different concentrations for the particlar areas. She only uses high-quality brand products from Juvéderm, Voluma and Allergan.

Then we got down to business. I also took a seat on a treatment chaise. The concerned face area can also be creamed with an anaesthetic ointment. But I resigned, I do not know why 🙂 but it doesn’t matter. Now the hyaluron acid was injected directly into the discussed area. Of course you feel the insertion, you can compare it to the feeling when taking blood. But I have to say that I think taking blood is even more unpleasant. It depends on the area and your pain sensivity. For me it was just a short prick, then it was over. Going to the next area.

One thing I really loved about the treatment was the fact that you can see the results directly afterwards. There is no downtime and you can even go back to work if you want. There may appear some blue spots but you can easily cover them with some camouflage. The fillers will stay between 12 – 24 months, it mostly depends on the product and your way of life.

Conclusion: I personally love the result! A big thank you goes out to Nadine and her lovely team! If you ever  think about trying fillers I would always support and recommend it. If it is made professionally from an expert of course. You will not regret it at all! Always keep in mind: start with a low effect, too much is never good.
