# Beauty – Pt. 4 My daily beauty routine #

Hi everyone! First of all I want to wish you a happy, successful and most important healthy New Year 2015!

♥♥♥

I hope you survived the festivities! Daily business is back soon but please remember: every day counts and every day is precious, enjoy it!

Now I would like to tell you something about my daily beauty care. You may remember that I have mentioned in my Beauty post Pt. 1 that it is important to use products from the same brand and even better from the same line. But sometimes I do not keep with that because other products work better for me in combination. As you know I swear on Clinique products. I use a serum, a moisturizer and additionally an eye cream. From time to time I also use the day cream from L’Oréal, a Vitamin Booster Serum from Marber, an eye cream from Marbert as well as an eye cream from Kiehl’s. Especially the day cream from L’Oreal proves that the most expensive products are not automatically the best ones. The cream only costs 4,99 € and it is really great! I can only recommend it!

After cleaning my face (this will be a topic for the next Beauty Post (which cleaning method is the best for me) I start with a highly effective serum, here I usually use one from Clinique or Marbert. The order is particulary important to guarantee a high effect (the active components get in deeper). Of course you should choose a product which fits to your skin requirements (dry skin, sensitive skin etc.) to guarantee the best results. The next step is my moisturizer with SPF included (if your moisturizer does not include UV protection you should use one in the next step, a protection is very important, it is also a duty in winter!) I use the Superdefence SPF 20 Moisturizer from Clinique or Hydra Active Glow SPF 15 from L’Oréal. Afterwards I use an eye cream, I take the I ♥ Vitamins Eye Treatment from Marbert, All about Eyes Rich from Clinique or Creamy Eye Treatment from Kiehl’s (I looooove the Creamy Eye Treatment from Kiehl’s, a rich treatment, in my opinion ideal for winter or evenings, but for daily use sometimes too much). Now you could also use a primer to prepare your skin for the following foundation. The primer prevents the skin grease to connect with the Make-up so the foundation sticks better. The primer has also some other functions like refining pores, balancing redness or just optimizing the teint. Therefore I use the Catrice Prime and Fine Smooting Refiner. But I have to admit that I usually leave the primer out in the morning because it is too much for my skin and takes too much time. I mostly use the primer before I go out in the evening.

There is another product I would like to recommend warmly: the Ultra Facial Moisturizer from Kiehl’s. My favourite care product for inbetween. I usually use it on the weekend or at home when I am not leaving the house. The skin is deeply moisturized, inserting quickly and does not leave a greasy film, your skin is well-groomed for the whole day. My version does not include a UV protection (therefore I only use it when I do not have to leave the house) but there is also a version with protection available.

That was my daily morning beauty routine. How about your? Which products do you use?

xoxo

Monique

Hi Prudence, yes I think Clinique products are a real good choice. Of course there are many other brands too but this is what works the best for me at the moment.

      Have a nice day,

Definitely agree about mixing it up little I love Elemis and main skincare is that range but I dabble in Merumaya and Sanctuary spa for night routine.

Yes Kiehl’s is also one of my favourites, my daily night skin care consists of Kiehl’s products, I will explain it in one of my next Beauty posts. You may like it! ) Which products do you use?

      Hallo liebe Stella,

ich befürchte, dass sie nicht tierversuchsfrei ist. Habe nochmal recherchiert und widersprüchliche Aussagen gefunden. Was benutzt du denn meistens für Kosmetika? Welche sind 100% tierversuchsfrei?

Ganz liebe Grü0e und einen schönen Tag!

It looks like a really good selection of quality cosmetics. I definitely have to invest in some Clinique products but there is so many and always get a bit confused, especially considering their price… I should probably consult somebody, haha :))
Does Kiehl moisturise better than Clinique products?

Hi Anya, you can always consult me 😉 There are different types of Clinique products e.g. for combination to oily skin or for dry and sensitive skin. They define in it in type 1+2 and type 3+4. For my combination skin type 3+4 is the best. It moisturizes my skin but not too much, it does not leave any greasy film which is very important for me.

The Kiehl’s products are also very good. I use some night products (e.g. the Midnight Recovery Concentrate) and the Ultra Facial Moisturizer for inbetween because it moisturizes well but also does not leave any film. But it would be too much for my skin in the morning, I prefer the Clinique Superdefense version then, it is inserting a little bit quicker. But all in all it really depends on your skin type.
