Actually I did not want to write something about this issue. In this week everybody is talking about Valentine’s Day. We even have our blog parade (5 other awesome girls) which is also all about Valentine. But I have to do this. This will be a very personal post and I thought about doing it day by day. But in the end I think you should also learn more about my personal side, there is nothing to hide.

Normally for me Valentine’s Day is a commercial event. It is a pity that the sense of this day is getting lost more and more. It is similar to Christmas. The biggest gift counts. There are many stories told about the Valentine’s Day. How does it began? St. Valentine’s Day began as a liturgical celebration one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus. But another legend says that the guy a girl sees first in the morning of February 14th will be her future husband. So many men who would like to marry her girl give her a boquet of flowers in the early morning of Valentine’s Day. What? You did not know all these stories? No worry, as many other thing this trend was coming from the USA. The idea behind is that someone who is in love with somebody sends a card or some candys to his/her beloved one, anonymous. This is what is all about. It would be a very romantic thing if there wouldn’t be the industry. The original romantic aspect does not count. But I also see a lot of kitchy things the last time and so I thought a lot about love.

Therefore I would like to take this oppurtunity (no matter if there is Valentine’s Day or not) to thank my beloved husband. You are the second I, my soul mate, my best friend! There are so many things I love about you, if I would count every single point it would definitely go beyond the scope. But I tried 😉 so here are the 10 most important things:

I love you because

• you always make me laugh even if I feel sad
• with you I can truly be myself
• you know me best and you love me anyway
• you endure all my moods
• you would go through fire for us
• you given me a whole room for my clothes
• you are supporting me all the time
  
• you are there when I am falling
• you married me!

Thank you for all these amazing years! With you I want to grow old and wrinkled! It would be my pleasure!
