Old Town Spirit

and again another holiday look. I have already mentioned it here before, there are so many looks I would love to show you. Of course I am also curious about your opinion and if you like my outfits.

I was wearing this outfit during our trip to Rethymno. This is the third largest city on Crete and it is located in the North, just in the middle of the island. Our holiday resort was in the South and so we rented a car to explore all the interesting things on the island of Crete. One thing you can say for sure: Crete is such an impressive and beautiful island!  Impressive because the island has got so many big mountains. And to be honest: we really didn’t know before. So we were really surprised as we suddenly saw the “Zugspitze” in front of us. So driving the car was also very complicated due to the bad road situations and the heights. We actually needed one hour for 10 km. Unbelievable, right? But the trips were really worth it.

Rethymno is a charming old coastal town. Beside the “normal” tourist miles there are also some really nice old streets and narrow streets. For me there is nothing better than old mediterranean cities. There are many people in the North of Europe trying to copy the style but it is only authentic here in the South. I love it!

The narrow streets were perfect for some pictures.  On this day I just wanted to wear something comfortable so I combined a casual viscose top with a khaki shorts, a white straw hat, sunglasses and white flip flops. That’s all. Simple but chic.
