Travel Review – Marbella and Puerto Banús

Hi my loves,

I already told you in my last post that I was so thrilled getting back to Andalucia after some years and visit one of my favourite Spanish regions around Puerto Banús. Not for nothing Spain is the most popular holiday country. This special climate is just made for me. In addition cute white houses and palm trees, a dream come true!

Now I want to share my Travel Review with you and let you know what to expect in Puerto Banús and the surroundings.

Puerto Banús and Nueva Andalusia

This little place is the “St. Tropez” of Spain and so beautiful. The harbour and the esplanada are perfect to tae a walk to see and to be seen. Here are the young and the beautiful and at least those with a big purse. The harbour is the harbour of Marbella and a lot of rich people use it to leave their huge yachts here. Every evening they get out their extraordinary cars like Ferraris, Lamborghinis and other spectacular ones and drive a few rounds with a lot of noise. Showing off is really a big thing. Of course there are also a number of substantial designer shops just like Dior, Gucci, Valentino. Just to name a few.

If you do not like the life of the rich and the famous there are of course enough narrow streets with cute little restaurants and unique shop. There is something for every taste!

Nueva Andalusia is the long-established town centre above Puerto Banús and marvellous relaxed. Here you can truly find the origin Spanish life. The weekly market and pretty park areas are perfect for a day out. In Spain you often live in a so called “Urbanizacion”, this is just some kind of neighbourhood. Our ubranizacion was really, really quiet and exclusive at the same time.

The holiday home

Thanks to FeWo-direkt/HomeAway we had a really nice holiday home. We enjoyed the time so much! The house was not too big and not too small, just right for 2 persons or a family with 2 kids. Beside the lovely livingroom, the kitchen and a guest bathroom downstairs there were two super cozy bedrooms with heavenly mattresses. I have never slept so good since several years , I can surely promise you! Another bis advantage is that there are two separate bathrooms for each bedroom, so everybody has its own little area. The highlight of the house is definitely the patio with a private swimming pool. Leaving no wish unfulfilled. Perfect for sun bathing, relaxing, eating, just everything! You can find the house here.

The surroundings

Andalusia has to offer a lot. Beside traditional old villages you can visit one of the numerous beaches or the mountains backlands or even a big city. A city I can really recommend is Málaga, you have already seen some impressions on Instagram.

But Sevilla is also only a 2 hours-drive away. Furthermore I can recommend a trip to the Atlantic Ocean and cities/areas like Gibraltar, Gibraltar, Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz or Tarifa, right at the bottom, the southern most area of Europe.
