Advent Tea

Hi my loves,

are you gonna meet your parents in law-to-be in the next weeks? Is there any advent tea appointment? Then I got the right thing for you. I remember my first meeting with my parents in law, it is quite a long time ago now but I remember it like yesterday. Hell, I was so nervous I couldn’t even sleep a couple of days before.

You surely want to make a good impression and show your best behavior. Your sure instinct is asked when it is coming up to your outfit. It should not ne daring, provocative or funky at all. Ok, if your parents in law are freaky creatives, that’s another story. You would like to show them that you are the best choice for their son! For this reason your outfit has to be comfortable. Nothing should be pinching, slipping or scratching!

It is very important that you feel 100 % comfortable.

This is the requirement to be relaxed and prepared for all the questions your mother in law-to-be will be asking this afternoon. 🙂 But of course you should not pretend to be somebody one is not. This is really exhausting and over all you can’t play a role for too long. So to make this appointment successful you should wear an unexcited look. Less is more in this case.

I have put together some items that would be perfect for this occasion. A pretty ice blue egg shape coat in combination with a cozy knit sweater and a wrapped checked skirt. The roségolden watch is the ideal partner in crime together. To round up the look grab a comfortable scarf and cap and a pair of simple pumps or boots if you like. But please leave your overknees at home this time!

So you are best prepared for your first meeting! Chic but not bourgeois at all!
