Inselloft Norderney
A modern hideaway in Norderney – Inselloft
*Advertorial
Hi my loves,
not many of us really remeber Norderney in the North Sea as some kind of hipster hotspot or the place to be. Never ever. I can truly remember those days when I was on the island as a little kid. So I always thought this tiny island is only made for children and retirees. But then suddenly we discovered the Inselloft Norderney. And everything changed immediately.
But let’s start from the beginning.
The Hotel
The Inselloft is located very central in Norderney, right next to the beach. For this reason almost every room has a fantastic sea view. This is really worth a mint! I enjoyed the view every morning cuddled in my bathrobe, not willing to get away, just breathing and enjoying every second.
The hotel actually consits of some single houses but there are all connected through the beautiful patio. Sometimes I even thought I would be right in the middle of the Hamptons not next to the North Sea. It might has something to do with my associations to Montauk. The patio ist so amazing and there is a lot of space to just sit around, relax, drink a cup of coffee or at least doing nothing. So delightful!
In the main house you will find most of the hotel rooms. So we had the pleasure to stay in a very nice and comfy penthouse at the very top with a spectacular sea view. But there are also two other room categories: the Studio and the Loft. So there is something for everyone and its moneybag.
The whole atmosphere is casual and informal but luxury at the same time. Just how a perfect holiday should be like! The style of furnishing is clean scandinavian which is exactly what I like. I felt in love with the bathroom and the big bath tube which I used right away on the first evening.
You can also find a Spa, Sauna and Gym at the hotel. And if the weather is bad there is a cozy library to sit down, read and drink a glass of good red wine.
The “Esszimmer”/The Bakery/The “Wein&Deli”
Beside the hotel rooms there are so many other attractions. Just like a visit in the famous Esszimmer which is so special and cozy. Just imagine sitting right in the middle of family and friends in a comfy dinin room. Something I loved from the beginning: the open kitchen. So you could talk to the cook while he is preparing the most delicious foods ever. You need to try the lentil salad! Heaven on earth!
In the morning they also serve breakfast here which is also highly recommended! But if you like to get your breakfast on your room, no problem. There is also a hotel-owned bakery with a lot of fresh bread or fresh bread rolls.
If you are hungry in the aternoon you should visit the Wein & Deli. A cozy space right next to the “Esszimmer” where you can find delicious German wines and small dishes.
The Shop
Something you should not miss is the hotel-owned Shop “Design Shop 1837”. Here you can find pretty cool designs. Especially the lamps were so pretty I could probably buy them all. But thanks to my hubby he always gets me back to reality 😉
The restaurant “Marienhöhe”
The hotel offers beside the attractions I have already mentioned some more culinary highlight. Just like the restaurant Marienhöhe which is just a few steps away. The dinner right next to the ocean watching the sunset was definitely one of my ersonal highlights! The restaurant has a stylish and comfy atmosphere with opportunities to sit either out- or inside.
The surroundings
As mentioned before the hotel is situated right at the beach right next to the centre of Norderney. So you can choose every morning if you would like to go to the city, take a walk around, drink a cup of coffee and eat something or if you would like to spend the whole day at the beach!
You can also borrow some bycicles at the hotel for a litte trip around the island. Or you can treat yourself at the cultish “Badehaus“. The staff of the Inselloft can prepare a special bag for a wellness day for you.
Either way: A stay at the Inselloft is just pure recovery. Not only for the body, but also for the soul.
