Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer at Côte d’Azur w/ FeWo-direkt

*Advertorial

Hi my loves,

there is so much told about the world’s famous Côte d’Azur. Pretty much and of course pretty much gossip. No wonder with the beginning of the spring summer season there are a lot of celebrities, stars and starlets around Cannes, Nizza and St. Tropez. It is not only the place where big movies were made it is evenn more a place where some of the biggest and potentially scandalous romances in Hollywood began. But maybe just a few know that there is so much more do disvover when being at the Côte d’Azur. Let’s begin with a very unique cute village called Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer.

The apartment in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer

As many of you already seen on Instagram my hubby and I went to the South of France together with Jaguar Germany by the middle of September. It was one of the best roadtrips ever!

Before we started we headed to FeWo-direkt to search for a suitable apartment. We finally found this beautiful jewel. The apartment complex “La Madrague” is located in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer in the department of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. It is directly situated next to a little harbour and a little beach. From all apartments you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea. The apartment complex has been renovated and partly completely new built. The interior is white, modern, clean with a Scanidnavian touch. Just how we like it!

Mostly every apartment has two bedrooms, one living – and kitchen area, two bathrooms as well as a very big terrace. My highlight was the fantastic sunset which we enjoyed almost every evening from our balcony.

The flats are located in a quarter called La Madrague with direction to the next coast village Bandol. You will find all essentials goods in a small supermarket and bakery 300m away up the hill. If you have a car you should not miss the weekly market in Centre Ville. There are also some bigger supermarkets in the city center and of course a very beautiful long sandy beach Les Lecques.

The surroundings

I can only recommend to explore the surroundings by car. It doesn’t matter if you arrive with the car like we did or if you rent one directly at the airport. Anyway there is so much to explore and discover in the South of France. I am not finished at all. There is so much left on my bucket list and I am looking forward to our next trip.

Here I want to share some of my suggestions with you:

Cassis

The little seaside town was on my bucket list ever since and I was so happy being there finally. As you might know it is one of the most famous little villages near Marseille and Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer. It so pretty, words can’t even describe. You need to talk a walk along the harbour with its cute cafes and restaurants. We certainly shot the most amazing looks and pictures there. Just think about the old romantic carousel.

Les Calanques de Cassis

The world-famous bays around Cassis are really worth a visit. You need to get there by foot but when you arrive you might have a clue how it could look like in paradise. 🙂

Marseille

The lively metropolis has really changed over the years and now it has to offer a lot. From hip hotspots to the old town. It is definitely always worth a visit and only 40 km away from Saint-Cyr.

Bandol

Bandol is a pretty bathing place with a beautiful harbour and narrow streets just right after Saint-Cyr and it is mostly famous because of the brillant wines. If I can give you one advise then I would recommend to visit one of the wonderful domaines and get through a real wine-tasting.

Let’s get over to my favorite point:

The backcountry – the Provence

Well yes I could certainly talk and write about the provence for hours and hours. I think you probably just need to see or more importantly feel it. I do not know if it has something to do with my french roots or my touch of romance, however I felt in love yet again. The nature, the houses, the vineyards, the people.

The little village La-Cadière d’Azur is my favorite one. I wish I could have stayed there forever on that cute and dreamy town hall square and just watch the French with their idleness. The French know it best and they know how to enjoy life. Deceleration and pleasure are the magic words. A glass of good red wine when having lunch bien sûr.

Die “richtige” Côte d’Azur – St. Tropez, Nizza, Cannes

Of course I can not forget the big and glamorous cities and tourist attractions just like St. Tropez, Nizza and Cannes. But these are points I would like to write a special travel review in the near future.

I hope I could give you a little inspiration and I wish you a lovely rest of this Sunday,

Monique xx
